I’m talking about that peculiar and marvellous kind of love. That right-place-right-time, happily-ever-after, meant-to-be kind of love. The kind that you grasp with both hands and never let go of.
I haven’t always been a believer. Years ago I would take photographs of beautiful couples declaring promises to one another that just seemed so far-removed from my understanding of what love was.
Weddings taught me to dream and to hope. They inspired me in ways I never knew possible and have taught me that, when it comes to love, anything is possible.
I truly believe that when we find ourselves in the right place at the right time, incredible things can happen. Do we write our own stories, or is someone else orchestrating them for us? Who knows. All I know is that of all things, love gives meaning to my existence and fills my life with joy and adventure.
This is why marriage is one of the greatest celebrations in life. When it comes to your wedding, I’m looking to capture your relationship in all of its complex, magnificent glory. I want the incredibly high-end photographs we take together to give you goosebumps every time you look at them. In short, I want you to look and feel amazing.
I also specialise in pre-wedding shoots, or engagement shoots (depending on where you’re from in the world). This means putting on your wedding dress or a fabulous outfit that you love, having your hair and make-up done and accompanying me on a little adventure as we take some incredible photos ahead of your wedding day.
Naturally, I also cover wedding day photography.
My partner Chris runs Zen Film Works and works with me to produce gorgeous cinematic films alongside my photography. Just get in touch and we can begin your journey.
In the spring of 2013, I sold everything I had and left England with my camera and a single suitcase and headed to Paris in search of adventure. I had always dreamed of moving to France, I was borderline obsessed with it. But never thought I would.
However, when I found myself single, in my thirties, bored and craving something new, I thought to myself, if I don’t do this now, when will I? So off I went. It is the single best decision I have ever made.
Paris had been popping up on my radar for a while. Perhaps subconsciously I had been searching for it. I got my sign when I heard that an ex-student had moved to Paris for love. I immediately felt the urge to contact her and pick her brains about living there: she made it sound so easy.
I had nothing holding me back except fear of the unknown. I had nothing to lose, but it still felt like a wildly risky move. I had two choices: stay in England and forever wonder what could have been or take a leap of faith into the unknown.
In the end, I chose adventure and I’m so very pleased I did.
Moving to Paris changed my life in many ways. I’ve found a place where I feel totally at peace.
A place that has taught me everything there is to know about love, life and – above all – myself.
*Update: In 2019 we re-located back to the UK and still have an office in Paris.
