Sarah and Nick’s intimate autumn wedding in Paris unfolded with a perfect balance of elegance, colour, and playfulness. Their day began in the golden light of the Ritz Paris Salon Été, where they exchanged vows surrounded by warm seasonal florals and their closest friends and family. After a luxurious dinner in the Marie-Louise Room, they took all their guests over to Le Grand Mazarin for a Fun Pajama party.
From the beginning, Sarah and Nick knew they didn’t want to follow traditional “wedding rules.” They wanted a day that felt truly theirs: fun, stylish, and free from rituals that didn’t hold meaning for them. There was no cutting a cake just for the sake of tradition — they shared their favourite chocolate mousse instead, a moment far more “them.”
This is why they hosted a pajama party reception at Le Grand Mazarin — a cosy, cinematic hotel with the charm of a Wes Anderson backdrop. It created the perfect home-from-home atmosphere the couple envisioned. Their guests felt free to relax, unwind, and dance the night away in comfy matching PJs.

Autumn in Paris has a charm all of its own. The city glows with rich colours and softer light. There is a calm in the air that makes everything feel even more romantic. For couples planning an intimate celebration, the season offers a beautiful backdrop. You’ll find atmospheric streets, cosy interiors, and venues that feel warm and welcoming as the evenings draw in.
But with this seasonal magic comes one important consideration: autumn sunsets arrive early. For this wedding, the sun set at 5 pm. Timing the ceremony carefully was essential to achieve the look and light the couple wanted.
Venues like the Ritz Paris or a chic boutique hotel such as Le Grand Mazarin naturally enhance the feeling of intimacy. However, they also require thoughtful planning when daylight is limited. By the time the ceremony ended, the light had already faded. I brought professional lighting for the family portraits. It added a chic, editorial feel that the guests loved!
This is the magic of autumn weddings in Paris. With atmosphere, style, and intentional planning, every moment becomes effortlessly elegant.
