The narrative unfolds as the couple ventures through Paris, immortalizing their love against the city’s landmarks. A private dinner at the Ritz Paris, serenaded by Jazz Around Midnight, adds opulence to the story.
As night falls in Paris between courses of their private dinner for 2 we took some breathtaking portraits, showcasing the couple’s love beneath the city lights. The bride is adorned in two exquisite dresses and the most incredible wedding ring you must see.
I have an editorial and documentary style, which means I love to direct the bride and groom into gorgeous flattering poses whilst also photographing the natural moments in between. Here you can see some incredible editorial and natural moments of the bride and groom getting ready together.
“I have always had a love affair with Paris, and The Ritz, so it was a no-brainer that I wanted to elope there. It is the city of love after all. The city’s architecture, from grand boulevards to cobblestone alleys, provided a picturesque backdrop for our perfectly intimate ceremony. As far as The Ritz goes, it’s very hard to put the feeling that simply staying there brings to me. But the hotel truly embodies an elegance, romance, and timelessness that no other place in the city can match and that is exactly what I wanted for our wedding day.” Rachel – The Bride.
“Thomas and I met at one of our best friends’ 30th Birthday celebration. We briefly connected that night and loosely stayed in touch. A month later we went out to lunch (at a “French” restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota) right before Thomas was leaving on a snowboarding trip. A few days later Thomas called me and asked if I’d be willing to fly out to Vail, Colorado to join him on his vacation. I was on the next flight to Vail and the rest is history. We have spent a wonderful 7 years together traveling, eating, and enjoying our lives together.” Rachel – The Bride.
In January of 2022, we were at Hotel Esencia (Tulum, Mexico – absolutely amazing hotel and my favorite place to stay in Mexico IG: hotelesencia) celebrating Thomas’s birthday. At 11:59pm the night before his birthday we were in our hotel room listening to music and all of a sudden Thomas asked me “You know what the best birthday present ever would be? *PULLS OUT GOLD BAND RING* You!” and he asked me to marry him. Two days later we were celebrating our engagement (and his birthday) with 40 of our friends.

After our creative meeting, the couple decided upon the Louvre area for their intimate elopement ceremony as it’s one of the quieter areas with fewer tourists. And it looks incredible.
After their intimate ceremony, we then took the bride and groom’s portraits around the gorgeous architecture of the Louvre. They wanted an editorial and iconic look to their elopement photos.
I discovered Filigree Jewelers, a boutique jewelry store in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2017. They specialize in vintage, antique, and custom jewelry.
I hadn’t planned on designing my wedding ring, but we were in the area for lunch one day, so we decided to stop by the jewelers and say hello to everyone. This was where Thomas had bought my engagement band. When I walked in I immediately saw the most beautiful Tourmaline I had ever seen in the store. I barely had to ask; they knew exactly what I wanted to try on. It was simply set on its own, and while the stone speaks for itself, I knew I wanted something more for my wedding ring. I asked Brent if we could take it out of its current setting and design something more “me”… And Voila!
We went back to the Ritz Paris for a lunch break and Thomas ordered an old-fashioned, which was made to perfection.
The bride was ready to take photos in her number 2 wedding dress. As this dress was easier to walk in, they wanted some more casual photographs; walking around Paris arm in arm and enjoying the beautiful sights.
After the portraits at the Tuileries gardens, we headed back to Ritz Paris for some photographs at the front of the hotel and for their elopement private dinner.
As they hired the private salon for their intimate elopement dinner, they hired Jazz Around Midnight to play for them. I highly recommend Jazz Around Midnight.
Rachel wanted some nighttime portraits, so we timed it so that they would have their first courses and then before their main course, come out to the Place Vendome in front of Ritz Paris for some nighttime portraits with the flash. I do love photographing in Paris at night, it’s so romantic and quiet.
“The day went perfectly, and I feel like were wrapped up in ourselves. We had fun listening to music and dancing while getting ready. We experienced the most beautiful ceremony at the Louvre. Thomas had “the best old-fashioned I’ve ever had, and you should’ve seen how the bartenders made it!” We took beautiful pictures and ended the day with a delicious meal and our own private concert in a gorgeous room at my favorite spot in Paris” Rachel- the bride
